With services such as Apple Pay becoming increasingly used and more mainstream, it questions what the future holds for biometric technology and whether all companies are putting customer experience first when introducing new payment services.

Earlier this year, MasterCard advised that as many as a quarter of all online sales may soon require authentication and with this, introduced its Identity Check solution for banks that are looking to meet new requirements for verifying identities online as set out by PSD2.
