IDEX to Showcase Leading Fingerprint Sensor Solutions at CES 2017
Oslo, Norway – 23 December 2016 – IDEX ASA, a leading developer of advanced fingerprint solutions for mass markets, will demonstrate a full suite of its fingerprint sensor solutions at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on 5-8 January. The Company’s demonstrations will showcase both IDEX’s off-chip and conventional silicon-based sensors in a number of recently launched commercial devices.
IDEX executives, including CEO, Dr. Hemant Mardia, and CFO, Henrik Knudtzon, will also host meetings with investors, customers and industry partners at the Venetian Hotel on S Las Vegas Blvd on January 5th, 6th and 7th. During 2016, several products were commercially launched with IDEX’s sensors, including two LG handsets as well as a mobile device introduced by a leading Taiwanese OEM. These smartphones all utilize IDEX’s silicon-based Cardinal touch sensor, which features a compelling combination of biometrics performance and a small silicon footprint. The Company’s Eagle off-chip fingerprint sensor has been designed into a number of Internet of Things (IoT) products and is now also shipping in commercial volumes. Additionally, IDEX is leveraging its off-chip technology in the payment and ID card market, where the Company recently introduced the world’s first flexible touch fingerprint sensor for SmartCards. As part of its product demonstrations at CES, the Company will showcase its latest ISO-ID1 compliant solution embedded in a SmartCard as well as a number of sensors for mobile and IoT applications.
