IDEX launches glass and ceramic fingerprint sensors for smartphones

Oslo, Norway – 20 February 2017 – IDEX, a leading developer of advanced fingerprint solutions for mass markets, today announced the expansion of its broad portfolio of fingerprint solutions with the launch of a new series of glass and ceramic touch sensors for mobile applications. IDEX’s new fingerprint sensor solutions are based on the company’s silicon-based Cardinal architecture with enhanced imaging performance to replace conventional coating by sensing through glass and ceramic covers. The new glass and ceramic sensor product range has been developed in partnership with CanvasBio.

IDEX will demonstrate its new glass and ceramic fingerprint sensor at the IDEX meeting room in Hall 2 to selected customers during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from February 27 – March 2.
