IDEX finalist in prestigious award competition
The world’s thinnest fingerprint sensor, SmartFinger® Film, is a finalist in the Sesames Awards competition.
The new ultra-thin and flexible sensor is one of four finalists in the Identification/ID cards category. SmartFinger® Film is designed to be integrated into smart cards and other slim biometric devices. “We are honored. The finalist position is a firm recognition and confirmation of the potential of the SmartFinger® Film in the card market,” says Ralph W. Bernstein, CEO of IDEX.
The Sesames Award is regarded as a global standard for card manufacturers and related industries, and 45 products from the major players in the field of cards and identification have been considered.
The award will be presented at the CARTES & Identification exhibit and conference in December 2010. CARTES is the world leading event for digital security and smartcard technologies. “We look forward to present our novel product on the largest event in our industry,” Bernstein continues.
The CARTES and Identification is held in Paris, and 500 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors are expected this year.
